Mexico needs new leadership

I'd like to echo Sr. Zapata's profound sense of disappointment in the Presidency of Sr. Diaz. In the face of a new election, he has suddenly withdrawn all government services from every territory in Mexico but his own. In Sonora, where the armies of Carranza, myself, and a force of federalis have recently won a great victory, he bristles at attempts at peaceful compromise concerning the governing of the territory. He has revealed himself to be nothing more than a tyrant who will do anything to hold on to power.

The call for an election has revealed the character and ambition of Diaz. Mexico deserves a democratic alternative. I hereby announce my candidacy for the Presidency and ask the people of Mexico to stand with me against tyranny.
